Use any video capture device to make time-lapse, motion-detect, meteor trail, planetary or animation movies. Easy to use! Simply start HandyAvi then select the type of movie you want to make (Time-lapse, Motion-detect, meteor trail, Astronomy or Animation). Use the control panel that comes up to set up and begin making your AVI movie.
SCIENCE: Sspeed things up such as flowers opening up or clouds moving in the sky using Time-lapse. Make time-lapse movies inexpensively using a Webcam or other camera.
SECURITY AND SURVEILLANCE: Motion-detect movies let you leave out boring stuff. Point the camera at your yard and instead of getting a really LONG movie showing your unchanging yard, get a much shorter movie showing only the things that HAPPENED in your yard, such as a person, dog or cat walking through. Point the camera at a bird feeder and capture only the images where birds are present and moving about.
ASTRONOMY: Make movies through a telescope. Most webcams are sensitive enough to allow you to make images of the moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. User settings allow you to take, for example, 1000 frames every 10 minutes. Useful for making movies of Mars, Jupiter or Saturn as they rotate. New automated Messier Marathon mode was added in release 5.0!
METEOR TRAILS: Capture entire meteor trails. Capture lightening bolts too.
ANIMATION: Create your own animated movies.
MEADE TELESCOPE CONTROLS: HandyAvi contains a full set of Meade telescope controls so that both the webcam and the telescope can be controlled remotely. Automatic planet centering system is included.
MOVIE VIEWING: An AVI movie viewer is built-in with continuous or frame-by-frame viewing features.
MOVIE EDITING: Movie editing features are built-in. Select frames, crop frames, make new movies from the original or from a collection of JPG images
UPLOAD: Upload movies automatically to your web site.
